Our original and continuing vision for Sport of Kings is skill and knowledge that allows us as a society to produce varied and interesting, historically correct and yet romantically appealing tournament events. Thus we offer classes to increase the average and top skill in competition, classes to dress the stage and players for the middle ages, classes to encourage heroic and chivalric presentation, classes to organize and sustain the activities of the tournament production.

But on an even more fundamental level Sport of Kings is about learning and teaching. We seek to encourage the skilled practitioner become the skilled teacher, and the reluctant student to become an avid learner. We seek to make this reality by creating an instructor environment that is diverse, intense and teeming with opportunity for the student. We add to that the practicums of mini-tournaments and non-combat competitions to allow our guests to display old or new skills. We promote camaraderie at the socials so that folks from many lands and station in life might connect outside of their ordinary circles.

My event team likes me to be inspirational. This is not always easy, but there is always the vision of the heart that can be shared. I would see our warriors as heroes. Not heroes on local terms, but heroes on any terms. Dress well, speak well, serve well, lead well, fight well and in victory or defeat, whatever the challenge, be noble and gracious.
