This is part of the Grand Championship as well as a separate competition.
The ideal includes a dedication to reproducing, perfecting and maintaining the arms and armor that are the tools of the trade. Just as in the middle-ages the warrior was not likely the armorer, it is not necessary that the warrior’s kit be self-constructed for this competition.
Competitors will be judged on the following criteria:
Does the arms and armor represent a consistent culture and time?
Is the kit complete from head to toe, including appropriate shield and weapons?
How much care was taken in selecting historical materials, and in detail of construction?
If not of new construction, are all pieces well maintained, and in particular, does it appear effort was made to prepare for this event?
